Kjula 29-30 June

We had varied problems on track. First of all we changed our crank trigger setup and it didnt work that well on high RPM and large converter pressures.

We also broke some pushrods and adjuster screws in our stage 5 intake rockers. Jöran Persåker let us visit his shop around midnight to get some new! We changed our Good years that we had some issues with, They shake alot! The new M/T tires was alot better.

No times this weekend to report due to no full passes.

Headers are ready

We got the car home today from hacke racing. Excellent work as always. Missing the blow off valves but will install 3″ units from PPF.

New Tranny and Converter

I left my clutch-plans with the 10.5″ crower and 3 speed lenco. It didn´t felt right with all the extra work and mayby a performanceloss over the Rossler/Protorque combo?

So this week i called Carl Rossler up and ordered my new TH210 ProMod with the all new REID 4.1 case and a Browell 6.3 bell. Safety is my new thing??? Looks so when checking my bank account…

Pro Torque got involved and is building me a revolution series converter that will slip 2-3% and still being easy on stall.

Fogmaker sent me their new fire suspression systems that will be SFI compliant in march. Made in Sweden!

Steve Morris is making me a “easy on valvetrain” cam that will work good and produce 3000+ HP.

Comp Turbo sent out my new 91mm tripple ball bearing lightweight turbos this week. Should be here soon!

Car will be shipped to Johan “Lillis” next week for making motorplates and other stuff so i can mount the new hemi.

After “Lillis” is finished it will be shipped to our master hotside builder. Christoffer “Hacke”. Se pic for ideas how we want them placed.

New intake for my hemi.

“Fräsarn” that built my sheetmetal Chevy intake is in the process of this new manifold. We will use the Blower bottom part this time to save time/Money. But it will be a new plenum and Twin integrated throttlebodies. Billet of course!

New personal best at Tallhed.

We went to Tallhed after some bad runs at Tierp arena. New oil, tighter converter and more oil in tranny was our solution on the slipping problem. It worked well and we left the line on our first line hard. But after a short while my Throttle body shaft broke and cut air off… After a walk around talking to other teams we found a new one!. Thanks Thunderrace for saving weekend again!

Run 2 we did a personal best. It was 6 years since i did that! Car felt weak though. I only had 17.5 Psi of boost and left the line on 14. So there will be some gains later on.

Car is parked until next event at Tierp arena.


New Engine

I wanted to post a “little” update between the two Tierp events that i compete in.

I felt that my bigblock chevy project has become a dead end and has looked into Hemi land. This week i took the step and bought a Keith Black/BAE hemi for next years racing.

“Fräsarn” will make me a new intake Manifold and Hacke racing provides me with new hots/coldside. This engine will skip the intercooler and just run on alky!

I will be selling blower, hat, fuel system, mag44 and boxes. Let me know on brillko@hotmail.com if interested in something.

Race update Tierp Arena 12-13 May 2012

Back for some track testing and my new C1 licens.

We started out with a easy 1 gear run to check out logs and let “Ärtan” do some tuning and got back to Q2. Here i was supposed to do a 201m run but i held down to 402m. Went a 7,84/293km/h 1.14 60-foot. Converter felt loose and it was only on 0,85 bar.

On third run we gave it a little more boost and lost traction. Converter now stalled over 7500…

In E1 i lost against Kristian Adeens volvo with a 0.017 redlight.

We need to do a stator change and get my injectors to Moran motorsports for service. My 1680cc injectors is near 90% duty now.

New EFI and ignition.

I have been running AEM:s Ecu since 2006 and always been missfiring. Latetly around 7350Rpms and up.  My team and i have been changing trigger setups more often than underwear and have several setups in the dump bin.

After several years i bought a AEM EPM-module with 2 optical hall sensors for cam&crank trigger. It works awesome. After that we had timing issues instead and we have been trying several systems like DIS4, MSD 6, 7, 8, 10, digital 7 and the list goes on long… I have over 10 different coils on my list of “non-problem”-solvers.

My brother has spent 100+ hours trying to find errors in my setup. Countless threads on support forums, guys with oscilloscopes and more…

Today it was time to take it to the next level! And the guy @ Mekonomoen Vårby made it possible. Thanks alot!

I will send my car to Pure-performance´s shop in avesta to let Andreas Arthurson mount in a new Vipec v88 system with 8 methanol capable coils. He will wire it in and do the mapping for starters. With his knowledge im convinced that 6 second times will be possible this year and that maybe Murphy has left the building.

On the track again!

Our car was raceready last week but there was no races to go to. So we decided to go to Söderhamn for 1/8 test&tune this saturday.

We had a new Transmission , Driveshaft with 1480 joints, new fabricated wishbone and driveshaft safety items on rear end and in car.

I also had a discussion with Neal chance for a stator change and we had the new stator in for this test&tune.

The first two runs were made with no boost of the line and i found no grip at all. The converter felt very loose even on 13 psi. For run #3 i tested to build boost and when i left the starting line i was on my shiftlight. The converter stalled 7800 rpms. ;(

So we are going back to our old stator and will be testing again 29-30 july @ Tierp Arena.

We got our hotsides coated and mounted. Weird performance & Coatings did a excellent work.
